The Quarter Horse is a friendly, small-town motel and RV Park. It is perfect for a weekend visit or long-term stay. We have been in business since the 1940s because we treat our guests like family. Many guests return year after year, and we happily anticipate their return.
We come together to celebrate holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, traditionally making dinner for our guests. During the winter months, we serve coffee and donuts every Friday morning. It is time for guests to enjoy each other’s company.
Just a short drive from Kartchner Caverns State Park, legendary Tombstone, and historic Bisbee. We have a lot to offer within Benson yet aren't far from other attractions.
The park is “family-oriented. The (Barrera’s) do a good job. They make you feel welcome. This makes you want to return each year.”
–Vern: Returning guest for 7 years.
The Motel was built in the late 1940s. The historic sign draws tourists from all around. Originally having 16 rooms and seven apartments. At that time, the highway went through Benson. With gas prices on the rise and a drop in the economy, the highway was moved in 1974, and no longer went through the town. In 1985 the RV Park was built.
Over the years, the RV Park has expanded, and the Motel now consists of only four rooms.
